This magnificent Sailing Ship coin was issued by the German Government Mint in Hamburg to commemorate the 160th Anniversary of the Bremerhaven Harbor. The design is based exactly on the 5 RMK coin issued by the Weimar Republic of Germany in 1927 to then celebrate the 100th birthday of Bremerhaven. This truly beautiful coin was struck by the Hamburg Mint in Full Proof Quality of 5 ounces of pure .999 Silver. Only 1500 pieces were issued, so this coin is very scarce and difficult to obtain today - and especially so because of the magnificent sailing ship featured on the obverse of the coin. Seldom does this piece come into the market today so if you collect Sailing Ships or just love truly beautiful coins you should not miss this opportunity. The specimen we present here is in pistine condition in the original protective capsule and presentation case and with a certificate of authenticity from the Hamburg Mint. Shipping in the United States is $5.50 an inludes insurance. Overseas bidders please email for shipping charges. We accept Paypal, all major credit cards and all conventional methods of payment.
