This magnificent Winnie The Pooh Bear was created in a limited edition from 1985-1987 by renowned toymaker R. John Wright, who drew inspiration from Steiff toys as well as the classic E.H. Shepard drawings from the original A.A. Milne books. He is number 566 out of 2500, was purchased new in April of 1987, and for 20 years has been carefully kept in a nonsmoking home, not played with, and still wears his original tags and red shirt. His joints and neck move, he stands with nice balance, his mohair fur is in perfect condition, as are his eyes, nose and mouth. His stuffing is firm and still tight. He was hand made from the finest materials. Please note that this is the extra large size Winnie The Pooh, standing over 18 inches tall. Because this is a rather valuable bear--I have seen web sites that list him well over $1,000--I shall place a reasonable reserve on him.
