Youare currently bidding on a set of 1987 U.S Constitution Silver Dollar & Gold Five Dollar Proof Coins. The coins are in brilliant, uncirculated condition. They come in a beautiful blue velvet display case in the original packaging with the certificate of authenticity. The 1987 Constitution $5 Gold Coin was issued along with a silver dollar coin to mark the 200th anniversary of the United States Constitution. These historic collectibles are produced by the United States Mint and are specially designed and created to commemorate the Constitution Bicentennial. The coins are legal tender of the United States. The obverse design of the gold $5 coin features a stylized flying eagle holding a quill pen. Rays emanate from behind the eagle. The inscriptions “Liberty” and “In God We Trust” appear to the left, with the date “1987” below. On the reverse of the coin is a quill pen positioned horizontally, with “We The People” written in calligraphy and an arc of thirteen stars. Inscriptions read “United States of America”, “Bicentennial of the Constitution”, “Sept 17 1787″, “E Pluribus Unum”, and “Five Dollars”. The obverse and reverse were designed by Marcel Jovine.
