You're bidding on a 1/10 ounce proof 1988-P Gold American Eagle five dollar piece produced by the United States Mint at its Philadelphia facility and assigned the ultimate grade by Numismatic Guaranty Corporation, the official grading service of the American Numismatic Association (ANA) and Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG).This is the proof version of the U.S. Mint's one-tenth ounce gold bullion coin struck with specially prepared dies on polished planchets to achieve a mirror finish with contrasting cameo devices. The design features on its obverse a modern rendition of the iconic Lady Liberty figure by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, and on its reverse a family of eagles designed by Miley Busiek (now Miley Tucker-Frost).The coin contains a full 1/10 troy ounce of fine gold but is struck in 22-karat gold to produce a harder alloy more resistant to damage and wear. The coin's actual weight is therefore 0.1091 troy ounce because of the additional silver and copper. You'll receive the exact coin in the obverse/reverse scans.NOTE: The holder has a very small scuff on the reverse. The scuff is over the white plastic insert and not the coin.Auction Terms - Read Before BiddingSatisfaction guaranteed - return the item in the exact condition received within fourteen (14) days of receipt for full refund of your bid (not including shipping costs) read more
