The Displaced Victorian.......Longing for a time when: Ladies were ladies and gentlemen were gentlemen, when both exuded an air of proper respectability, a time more civil and polite, a time more proper and social.......

Hello and welcome to " A Displaced Victorian Antiques and Collectables ". For your consideration is a beautiful 1988 ANNETTE HIMSTEDT FRIEDERIKE DOLL. Friederike is one of the five "World Children" series and a rare and valuable doll. Friederike has a hard vinyl head that swivels on a long shoulder plate, cloth lower torso, vinyl arms and curved legs, inset eyes with real eyelashes, painted featd eyebrows, molded upper eyelids, open nose and a human hair wig. She is dressed in her original cotton clothing and, of course, has bare feet. I purchased a large lot of Himstedt dolls from an elderly lady who was going blind and had to be placed in assisted living. Her entire living room was an amazing display of her hundreds of dolls. She thought of them as her children and took excellent, loving care of them. Paperwork and original box are included. Jan Foulke's 14th Blue Book of Dolls & Values (1999) lists her value at $1,200-$1,400.00 and this doll recently sold for $738.00 on eBay. I am going to go out on a limb and start the bidding at 99.99 and see w it goes. Please see my other auctions for the rest of
