1988 RAF FDC Christmas Signed T Gleave Battle of Britain Pilot 15 Nov 88 BFPS2184 Postmark on Full set of 5 Christmas Stamps Flown cover . Greeting from all members of the Guinea pig Club. Personally Signed by Gp Capt Tom Gleave Battle of Britain Hurricane Pilot and was Commanding Officer RAF Manston at the time of action Group Captain T.P.Gleave CBE.Squadron Leader Gleave commanded No 253 Squadron from 2 June 1940, at RAF Kirton - in - Lindsey.Shot down and grievously burned, August 31st 1940 whilst defending RAF Biggin Hill,Commanded RAF Manston October 5th 1941 to April 13th 1942. Chief Guinea Pig.Certified copy no 864 of 1450. These covers are numbered RFDC67 as part of the original series, but the post office then produced a miniature sheet.
