1989 Michigan Trout Stamp Print - By First Woman Artist Elaine Swanton: Signed & Limited As noted on the back; "Elaine Swanton is the first woman to win the Michigan Trout and Salmon Stamp Competition. She is the second woman in the nation to win a Trout/Salmon contest and the fourth woman to win a state or national stamp competition, making this a highly collectible print". The original print #144 / 450 and stamp was professionally and the raised-panel "SOLID OAK" frame measures approximately 17" wide by 16" tall and is about 3/4" thick. It has a triple thick matte of complementary colors. The print area measures 9 3/8" wide by 7" tall and the stamp is 2 1/8" X 1 3/4". The back has a picture of Elaine Swanton and a brief Biography, some noted above. The print is in excellent condition, with no fading or damage noted.
