, for your consideration, is a fabulous sand painting, done in 1990, signed by the artist who matted & framed it. The attention to perfection in this painting is outstanding, meticulous, and highly detailed. The artist used at least 12 different colors and shades of sand. The Mat Artist has outdone herself with 4 levels of Mat and intricate cuts which only add to and accentuate this fabulous Kachina and surroundings. (see photos) The frame is substantial, heavy wood, perhaps oak, and measures 25 inches tall by 17 inches wide, with the moulding being just over 1 1/2 inches thick. Although my photos are amateur, you will not be disappointed with the quality, condition, and creativeness found in this wonderful native American sand painting..
