Up for Auction Is A 1991 American Silver Eagle Coin In Uncirculated Condition. (1) GENERAL: The Silver Eagles are Silver Bullion Coins and Are Legal Tender as $1 Coins. They are an excellent way to invest in silver. The series started in 1986 and continues through today. There were 7,191,066 uncirculated Silver Eagles minted in 1991. (2) COSMETICS: I bought this coin brand new in 1991 and had it in storage since. While in storage it developed tarnishing in the upper right quadrant on the obverse, and also on the corresponding bottom section of the reverse. There is also tarnish on the reeded edge at obverse top/reverse bottom. NOTE: The darkness on Liberty's cloak in the photo (directly under the "IB" of "Liberty") is a shadow, not tarnish. Please see the pictures (supersizable) for details. The coin comes as shown with no display case. I had it stored in a small clear ziplock bag, and will ship it that way to protect it. (3) NOTES: These coins contain 1 Troy Ounce (31.103 Grams) of Pure Silver. Actual Composition: 99.93% Silver, .07% Copper. They are legal money, with a One-Dollar Face Value. The obverse (front) of the coin features the legendary "Walking Liberty" design of Adolph A. Weinman, which first appeared on U.S. Half Dollars minted from 1916 through 1947, arguably the most beautiful design that ever appeared on a U.S. read more
