well i had 900 page wiews and 43 watchers - the only bid was from someone who didnt even want the car in the end! cheers for that ! so here she is being listed again ( more ebay fees ) i have lowered the price and am open to a good offer as car is advertised elsewhere. dont miss out as i cant afford to list it again. this is my much-loved 91 thunderbird sc with the auto gearbox plus overdrive. its the super coupe supercharged v6 model 3.8L. it has mot till jan 2012 but tax will be removed as am disabled class tax. loads of service history from the original build receipt to recent repairs and all booklets, spare key fobs etc etc. bought new by a chap in the american embassy . the car comes with the built in jbl pre amplified stereo with updated cd player, built in sub etc. central locking, alarm, sun roof, elec windows cruise control, electric suspension power steering, climate control. - air con has been disconnected by previous owner. Auto dim rear view mirror, full electric leather interior which is a bit worn but still very comfy. Electric seatbelts too :-) auto headlights. the car is all original with factory wheels , everything is as it should be . it has all the toys you can think of that they had in 1991 and it all still works ! as the car has just covered 100k it could do with a full service to keep her uptogether and possibly a front ball joint.. Unfortunately recently the auto gearbox has developed a problem - it changes gear fine but 3rd has now become just a neutral gear - no drive in the 3rd gear. the car still drives fine but in 3rd its just nothing and therefore it will not go into 4th as it is auto. Possibly a easy repair to the right person but im not sure, im not a mechanic and cant afford to look into it as i need to concentrate on my other car - 1968 thunderbird which i am half way through rebuilding. and just to verify ,the car has not lost any transmission fluid and is not leaking any or making any horrible noises, no holes etc , .it still drives fine in reverse,1st and 2nd - being auto and have had her upto 60mph at about 3k rpm driving ok to get her home and can drive anywhere under say 40 mph as long as it doesnt go into third as you have to use kik down to get her back into 2nd. in my honest opinion i think it could be something as simple as a linkage or something as when i was driving it the other day im sure it was in 3rd or 4th and working thus me believing its not a major fault. i am still driving the car and have been for 2 weeks now just to get to work and back and its fine as im not having to go over 40 and she still drives normal. Around the car the paintwork is great for its year - its still nice red and not a faded pink, a couple of the arches are just starting to bubble a bit but i have looked into it and its not major rust just paint bubbles . the car is 20 years old and there are a couple of those trolly dings here and there but not really noticable. this car is very very rare being in such good overall condition and being the super coupe model - its not a lx , its the more saught after supercharged v6 one with all the options :-) i really wish i had the time to repair her but i need to get my 68 back on the road so unfortunately i cant spend money on this one. - once sold obviouslt will be in the market for a run about to get me to work but i cant say swap lol would like to see as much as possible for this very nice sporty and rare car - would make an i deal first american car or just to fix and have as a daily drive as i have been using it. car is advertised elsewhere and i may be welcome to a sensible price , cant say swap these days wink. viewing welcome , am in trowbridge wiltshire ba14 7qx area or give me a ring 07596093034, cash on collection only, car muct be collected within 3 days of auction end ,... read more
