This auction is for the original color art of the 1992 Marvel Universe trading card of Cyber (Card #117 in the set). The art for this card was done by Sam Kieth (pencil and inks), and Paul Mounts (painter). This is the original painted color artwork of the actual trading card. This piece consists of an acetate overlay copy of the black ink art (copied from the pencil and ink work of Sam Kieth) and the actual paint work of Paul Mounts. Paul Mounts has painted for various comics including many of the early Marvel trading cards. ( For an example of what this type of card art looks like disassembled, please see the attached scans of a Jim Lee X-Men Strong Guy original color art piece –which is not included in this auction) The first scan is a picture of the entire piece. This entire piece measures 14 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and approximately a quarter of an inch thick. It is double-matted, shrink-wrapped, and ready to be displayed. There are two images on this art piece.The second scan is the image of Cyber that appears on the front of the original trading card (lower half of this piece). This image measures 6 inches tall and a little over 4 and 5/8 inches wide. The next scan shows a headshot image (upper half of this piece) which appeared on the back of the trading card.
