1994 One Pound .925 Silver "Piedfort" Proof + luxury box of issue + capsule + certificate - top grade (my ref. 190.8) Spink 2013 catalogue ref. S4337: proof £60. This beautiful piedfort (double thickness) coin was struck by the Royal Mint and features the "Scottish Lion". It had an initial issue limited to a maximum of 12,500 coins and a final confirmed mintage of 11,722 coins. It has a diameter of 22.5 mm, weighs 19 grams, was struck in .925 silver and contains the equivalent 0.5650 troy ounces of pure silver. It is a proof with frosted relief. It is housed in a clear plastic capsule inside its luxury box of issue and comes with a Royal Mint certificate of authenticity . In excellent condition.
