1997 STERLING SILVER Reed & Barton CROSS with Box
Up for bids is the 1997 Annual Christmas Cross in sterling silver by Reed & Barton. This beautiful cross is being offered in the original green velvet box with card and red felt bag. It is in excellent condition, having only the very slightest amount of tarnish. It is rather large, measuring 3 1/4 inches tall and just over 3 inches wide. These are fantastic Christmas ornaments, plus they're fun to wear as a pendant around the neck. The back of the card reads, The 1997 Christmas Cross in sterling silver by Reed & Barton is the 27th edition of the annual series based on authentic originals of historic and artistic significance. The 1997 Christmas Cross is inspired by a quatrefoil panel from the All Saints Church in Evesham, England dating back to the 15th century. These panels were common for the enrichment of plain upright surfaces and are commonly called ''square roses''. The 1997 Christmas Cross continues a 27-year tradition of inspirational sterling silver crosses hand-crafted by the master silversmiths of Reed & Barton. At the close of the 1997 season, the dies for the 1997 Christmas Cross will be destroyed, thus assuring the owner of a true collector's item. The back side of the cross is stamped ''1997 Christmas Cross- Reed & Barton- Sterling''. High bidder pays $3.00 for nicely boxed USPS first class postage within the U.S. We accept Paypal, money orders and personal checks and happily ship worldwide.
