KENNEDY COLLECTOR'S SET INCLUDESROBERT F. KENNEDY MEMORIALCOMMEMORATIVE DOLLAR AND MATTE FINISH JOHN F. KENNEDY SILVER HALF DOLLAR (RAREST OF THE KENNEDY HALVES)(MINTAGE LESS THAN 64,000) I purchased this set from the U.S. Mint in 1998. I even have the original shipping box it arrived in. Both the RFK Dollar and the JFK Half Dollar were minted at San Francisco and are 90% silver. However, the real star of this set is the 1998-S SMS (Special Mint Strike) KENNEDY SILVER HALF. It has an unusual matte finish AND WAS ONLY AVAILABLE IN THIS SET! The actual number of sets sold is somewhere between 62,000 and 64,000, depending on the reference. However, there is no disagreement with the fact that this Kennedy half is the LOWEST MINTED HALF OF THE SERIES, MAKING IT THE KEY TO THE SERIES! THE COINS HAVE NEVER BEEN REMOVED FROM THE CAPSULES(although I did open them to take the photographs) Includes Original Government Packaging and COA.
