For sale is a 1998 United States Mint Premier Silver Proof Set including the original Certificate of Authenticity with free shipping and no reserve. The coins pictured are the actual set you will receive. The set itself is in excellent condition, and the nickel in this set has beautiful toning.Rare and unique U.S. Premier Silver Proof Sets were only struck by the U.S. Mint from 1992-1998. Each set includes proof version coins from the year of issue with dime, quarter and half dollar coins containing 90% silver.Proof coins are struck in a special coin press with meticulously polished dies. After the coin is struck it is polished to give a mirror-like finish. They are virtually flawless in appearance, retaining a satiny-smooth character and bright luster where images appear to almost float off the face of the coin.These beautiful Premier Sets also represent the first time since 1964 that the U.S. Mint offered 90% silver dime, quarter, and half dollar coins.
