1999 90% Silver State Quarter Cameo Proof Set

This is a 1999 Silver (90%) State Quarter Cameo Proof Set. It contains the first 5 state quarters released by the US Mint in 1999. Each quarter is made of 90% Silver and all 5 quarters are sealed in the original US Mint plastic case. It does not come with the box as it was part of the complete 1999 Silver set however I will include the COA.
The first 5 Silver State Quarters are the most valued and difficult to come by because of the US Mint did not produce silver quarter proof sets on their own. They were just released as part of the 1999 Silver Complete Set. Many people do not want to break the set up to sell just the quarters which makes them even tougher to get. None of the coins have ever been taken out of the sealed case or touched since they were released by the mint however you can see how incredible they are and easily could be sent out to be graded if the buyer so desired. In addition to the the first 5 Silver State Quarters being difficult to get, Silver has doubled in price since last year and has gone up 400% in the last ten years adding that much more value to this set. Silver was at $43.05 a Troy oz at time of this listing. All 5 coins are great for investing and collecting. If silver continues to rise as many believe it will, a set like this will increase as well . I will keep this price until silver hits $44. Check out my other items! The postage often costs between $1.41 & 1.76. The protective envelope and packaging is typically around $0.75. I typically lose money on S&H on the first couple of items. I will attempt to reduce S&H on combined orders purchased during the same auction period however this depends on several factors including the value and weight of the item, the actual amount the buyer is paying for the item vs. its value, and the size of the item.
