19c Antique French Silver Opera Glasses !Lorgnette NR !! Hello everyone, Over the next months we will be selling a large part of our finest items from my antiques collection.So Please bookmark us and check up our latest auction!I am not sure about the current values of my items, so we will start them all with Only 1 US$ starting price, without reserve!!! Happy Holydays! I am offering an antique elegant, finely crafted silver lorgnette / opera glasses / eyeglasses from the 19 century! They measures: 4"inches(10.2 cm) wide between lenses, 4"2/8inches(10.8cm) long closed and about 5"6/8inches(14.6cm.) opened. Each lenses have 1"5/8 wide. Beautiful cut out design, as you can see in the pictures. This rare pair have double used lenses.As hallmark we have the French Boar's Head, used in Paris for 800/1000 silver since 1838.As a silversmith's hallmark we have in diamond shape but it is not clear. Condition is good. No damage, only a tiny scratche on the left lense. Closing mechanism works smoothly and they fasten closed securely. The spring that opens and closes works also very well.These are beautiful and ready to add a chain.Whould make a wonderful gift for an avid collector!
