Superb 19C Antique French Sterling Silver Napkin Ring
1897- Embossed Rococo Louis XV Style Initial "G.J"

About the Item:

This beautiful Antique French Sterling Silver & Gilt Napkin Ring is gorgeously decolated with embossed Rococo wavy pattern and foliate scrolls, embellished with flower and leaves all round. Inside is lightly gilt (gold-washed) and has beautiful tone of gold color. T is hand engraved initial in the frame "GJ" with very fancy letters.

Diameter: 2"(5cm) - Width: 1"1/2 (3.9cm) - Weight: 1.34 oz (37.9cm.)
As hallmarks we have The French Minerva No.1 , which indicates the best quality of French sterling silver 950/1000 (finest than sterling) used in Paris since 1838. As the master's mark we have for "Tirbour Charles" , worked since 1897 in Paris, manufacturing silver knives forks and spoons, table services, both large and small silverwere.

This gorgeous Antique French Sterling Silver Napkin Ring is in Very Good Condition . However, commensurate with the age of the napkin ring, it has some tiny dents on the edges and has minor scratch marks, and not perfectly round.
