~ Antique Conta Boehme Baby ~

Circa 1870, this is a huge, very rare and gorgeous antique German bisque piano baby girl! Produced by Conta & Boehme of Germany, this is a very rare model and a very big girl, measuring 14 1/2 " tall by 10" wide by 12" deep... she is a spectacular showpiece! She has the most precious face with big blue intaglio eyes, dimpled rosy cheeks, an open smiling mouth, and a dimpled chin. She wears a pink ruffled bonnet with yellow flowers and blue bows on the sides and a big pink sash bow tied under her chin. Her gown is yellow with blue ruffles, and there is an elaborate gilt ribbon that runs through the top ruffle; her bonnet and gown and ribbons and bows are further decorated with gold gilt beading... fabulous! She has dimpled elbows and dimpled knees and finely modeled fingers and toes. She is in very excellent condition with no chips and no repairs, minor gilt wear to some of the beading. She is an extraordinary, exquisite baby... a beautiful piece for the collector!
