Offered is an outstanding 36-piece set of 19th century French vermeil silver flatware in the Filet (Fiddle Thread) pattern. Each piece is marked on the back with a crowned monogram. Composed of 18 dessert forks and 18 dessert spoons, this dessert service is the ideal accompaniment to any flatware pattern for an elegant dessert buffet.

This silver is of the highest quality bearing the coveted mark of the French Veillard- only designated for the highest grade of silver in the world - 950 silver - known in French as argent massif (a higher grade than sterling which is 925).
Unlike the silver that one finds in American sets, these pieces are heavy and have the large proportions that are more typical of what is found on fine
