PLEASE NOTE that due to eBay regulations on ivory, I can only sell this item to a US buyer and must also send it to a US address. The larger antelope is made of African Savanna elephant (loxodonta africana) ivory and was imported legally into the United States.

Note: This item comes fresh from an estate! I also have more vintage auctions on ebay now... Unless mentioned below, any variation in tones or moiré effects (digital stripes) are in the photo only, not real. Also, please note that I charge NO shipping and handling fees at all except for very rare instances - USPS rates have just gone up.

Description: An interesting 19-piece lot of misc vintage animal and bird figures, mostly made of genuine carved bone. T is a jade horse on custom wooden stand, a white natural carved stone lion (5.5" long), and an African Savanna elephant ivory antelope. The lion with monkey in his mouth and the owl are plastic. All others are carved bone. The bone figures are all more than one piece, although some have only a circular or oval piece on the tummy, and the rest is one piece. The birds have a lot of finely carved detail that does not show much in the pics. The bird on the black stand has a "Made in Occupied Japan" sticker; no other marks found on any figures. (I have more netsukes and figures from this estate listed now.) Size: Compare to white carved stone lion which is 5.5" long.

Condition: Varies. All may have light wear, ink loss or need cleaning. ALL flaws of note listed following: Baboon, larger antelope and larger elephant have vertical cracks. Antelope missing tail, owl missing eye, tiny antelope missing antler. These have chips: faux ivory lion on wood (in mouth), white stone lion (front edge of 2 feet), parakeet (tail tip - not very noticeable), smaller bird w/black chest in back of photo (beak tip and toe). Some of the bird legs need gluing back into their holes. A small bird (chip on foot) needs gluing back onto black stand with other bird (larger one may be missing eyes). Bird with tuft on head has a toe that is breaking and it will need to be fixed. Leaping tiger has 1/4" hairline on tummy. Bird on stand has a crack on the tummy piece. Birds on bone piece and baboon have tiny light brown dots. Leftmost bird of prey in first closeup has a 1/2" crack in back under wing. Same pic, bird with curved beak on far right has a crack from chin down to tummy. Parakeet (?) to the left of that one has a 1.25" hairline on its back.
