this mug is one of an rare collection of early Staffordshire children's mugs purchased from a midwest family estate auction
all are old and early ranging in date from the late 18th C -mid 19th C (1790s to 1840s) ....some are extremely rare.....please expect ALL pieces to have considerable "age usage", i.e. meaning....glaze crazing, discolouration, stain seepage....i will do my best to specifically note damages to each piece...i.e. "cracked, chipped, damaged, hairlines, overpaint, flea bites"....

THERE IS GLAZE LOSS TO EITHER SIDE OF THE APPLIED HANDLE AS SHOWN, RUBS AND SURFACE FLAKES TO PINK LUSTRE AROUND RIM FROM LOSS OF GLAZE, OVERALL SURFACE IS EXCELLENT, NO CRACKS OR HAIRLINES....ONE TINY NIBBLE TO BOTTOM BASE FOOTER...NOW DARK FROM AGE, TRANSFER HAS A GLAZE SKIP TO THE PATTERN IN THE CENTER, HANDLE IS FINE EXCEPT FOR THE LOSS OF GLAZE, FORM IS PERFECTLY IN THE ROUND
TRANSFER PATTERN DETAILING IS CHARMING... ABSOLUTELY
