19th C Eastlake Aesthetic Victorian Ebonized Frame NR!!

I have for sale another early Eastlake Frame. I always look for Eastlake frames so if you like Eastlake keep me in mind. This one is ebonized with large, deep insized carvings on each corner. T is gilt around the picture area and on the face at the outer edge. This frame measures 14" by 12" and the picture area is 8" by 10" or a tad less. The cabinet photo is of a young girl in a pleated dress and big white collar. She has on high button shoes. The photo is mounted on (not matted) a nice background with border. All original. At the bottom it reads "O.S. Saurman, Norristown". The cabinet photo is in very good condition for over 100 years old. The frame is very old. The nails are all square and hand made. The back is the original wood. The wire to hang is not old. This frame appears to have been touched up somewhat in both the gilt and ebonized areas. The incised carving on each corner is just wonderful! The glass is old with all the imperfections we like to see in old glass. The condition of the frame is good for the age. The gilt is oxidized and as I said, I believe touched up and t most likely due to heavy oxidation. This is a lovely old Eastlake with a charming cabinet photo. My pictures do not do it justice. It is so hard to pick up the carvings on the ebony background. If you have your own photo you could mount it right on the background so you would have a border.
