19th C Green Transferware English VIRGINIA Butter Pat Welcome to our royalbert auction and adorable transferware etc store for a very hard to find medium and light green transfer decorated 3-1/8" diameter scalloped, embossed and gilt trimmed white butter pat in the Virginia pattern ! Beautiful flower garland swags over horizontal lined ground accompany two scenic cartouches of Greek Architectural columned water side mansion or castle buildings, scroll work and little floral bouquets as pictured. All very ornate. Signed at under side in print by J&G Meakin under pattern name Hanley, England, denoting manufacture after 1891 and into the earliest 1900's.
