19TH C BENT PANEL SLAG GLASS CHANDELIER SHADE Presented for auction is this very unusual Bent Panel Slag Glass Chandelier Shade made in the late 1800s to the Turn Of The Century. Measuring 24" in diameter by 13" high, this 8 Panel White Slag Glass Chandelier Shade has a metal overlay of CHERRY BLOSSOMS. Very unusual to find this motif in these early Shades. The metal has a Pewter look finish and against the White Slag Glass is perfect if you are going for an Asian or Oriental Decor. The colors makes this Shade perfect to fit into your decor. T is a cross bar shown on the top with a hole to allow for hanging from your ceiling. Condition: Beautiful Patina adorns the metal. The top 8 panel Crown shows one panel with a hairline crack (see image) but not loose very tight and the integrity is not affected. T are what I believe surface scratches to the large Panels and t or they could be natural to the glass due from age or from the manufacturer, they do not go through to the under side and are only surface, I have included images in the last pictures to show what I am referring to. Two areas of the metal overlay have separated. One is located w the Cherry Blossom and the Branch meet and the other is w the Branch and the metal Panel Divider is located (please see images) however, none to worry as they lay flat as they should and are not noticable as I had missed them when I acquired this Shade, but only mentioning for accuracy. Quite a huge Bent panel Chandelier Shade with a fantastic Metal Overlay Motif of CHERRY BLOSSOMS.
