19th C Lacquered & Gilt Decorated Sewing Box from Asia, probably Chinese, lozenge form top decorated with scenes of dragons surrounding an emperor in his court, foliate decoration around the border & cartouches of family life, top opening to reveal a fitted interior filled with ivory sewing implements, lower single drawer fitted for writing & writing implements, brass handles at either end. 6`h, 17`w, 11.5`d.
