About me: I have been a member on Ebay for about a year now and I've been buying many different types of antiques on Ebay, private auctions, and estate sales. I am now in the process of opening up an antique furniture and decorative arts store and I overstocked a little so now I am selling some very beautiful and extremely rare antiques and items on Ebay. The Item: we present to you a Meissen Figural Group of 5 Children Musicians modeled by J.J. Kaendler. This piece dates to the 19th century. We have attached a picture from the reputable "Meissen Figurines, 1730-1755, the Kaendler Period," by Yvonne Adams showing a picture of a slightly different piece from ours but from the same series. This incredible piece depicts 5 children musicians comprised of a double bass player, a violinist, mandolin and flute, with a conductor atop the group. This was last sold at Christies in Melbourne in 1995 before passing to the current vendor. The design is excellent from all around and the colors are vivid and beautiful. T are leaf decorations amidst the white base in between the children. This piece is masterfully executed with incredible Meissen design. Dont miss this piece! It is 5.5" in height and 3.25" in diameter. The condition is very good, no visible nicks, chips, cracks, or repairs. Please ask us questions if you have any.
