I have not bought a firkin for quite awhile for several reasons. Mostly because of fake paint. This firkin which is in green paint is 19th c green paint over what I believe is either slightly earlier green paint or a base for this paint and t is nothing bad about it either way it is all for real and no fake. It has a few problems that could be easily fixed. The top has a crack but could simply be pushed back together to make it look better and the wrap around the edge has some cracks that are being held with a copper wire that could also be simply glued together or left as is and finally the two bottom wraps are slightly loose but could also be glued or just left as is.It is all copper nails, wooden pegs, and no staples. This is simply a super looking firkin that I am sure the buyer will appreciate. It stands about 12 1/4" tall and the top is 11 1/2" in diameter and the bottom is 12 " in diameter. This is just a good one and should go on "the stack" or sit by itself. I am starting this off at a good price, no reserve and ship[ping cost in the US. Thanks for looking and check my other sales coming up this week.
