The best of the best, this Victorian bedcover or tablecloth is one huge panel of 1890's fine linen. Very finely woven with a soft smooth hand yet a slubbed finish, with picot inserts, lavish embroidery and a floral, leaf, vine, and bird motif. The embroidery is silk, and all hand applied. The colors are periwinkle blue, minty green, yellow, sage green, soft taupe, brown, lavendar, pale pink, rose, cream ~ so many and very densely applied, with fine silk floss thread. Very similar to the antique shawls that had embroidery, yet this is hand done! The ground is a creamy candlelight wheat. In near mint condition, measuring a 90x61 Please see all photos for details, t are approx. 4 tiny spots that need spot cleaning. Each corner of this gorgrous cover is further embroidered, with a different flower and vine motif encircling the large central panel. You will adore this piece of collectible embroidery, it usable, its unique, and so lovely.
