19TH C Sterling Repousse & Ivory Dagger Cane

Featured here is this 19TH Century Gadget Cane featuring a Sterling Repousse Handle impressed with the word "STERLING" and showing in relief a large Heron and Stag along with Trees and Grass. The neck below the Sterling handle is shown in a dark wood with inlaid Ivory buttons. One of the buttons is mechanical and when depressed will release the Dagger Cane from inside the Cane when pulled. The blade is blued and shows an elaborate stylized Art Nouveau design on both sides. The dark wood Shaft shows a Brass Collar at the opening where the Dagger fits inside the Cane and also has a Brass Ferrule. The wood Shaft shows usual wear to finish with scratches and mars due to age but not readily seen as the wood is a dark wood and helps to hide these areas. A very fine and scarce item to find with these elements going on and in this condition.
