A rosewood Tunbridge ware traveling watch case. The top slides up and then bends back, rests on the main portion of the box and holds a small pocket watch. The diameter of the watch compartment is only 1-1/2". The box itself is 3" high, 2-1/4" wide.
The purple velvet lining of the holder is in excellent condition and appears to be original with some wear at the top w the watch stem would rest. The box was obviously used but looked after. It has no more than normal wear for its age. All the inlay is intact. The is a small repair along one of the side edges of the body of the box. The back of the box is plain. PLEASE SEE MY OTHER TUNBRIDGE WARE LISTINGS.
