19TH CENTURY VICTORIAN FIGURAL BANQUET OIL LAMP Presented for auction is this fabulous late 1800s to Turn of The Century Victorian Banquet Oil Lamp. Measuring 31 1/2" high this Banquet Lamp features a young figural girl almost in a running stance as the stem. It is made of a white metal with a gold to bronze finish. The Font is featured in Brass with highly ornate embossed Victorian motif adorning the whole piece. The Turner is marked: "MADE IN AMERICA US of A" while the screw Cap is marked: P&A MFD IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Since I am not an expert on Oil Lamps, I do not know if all of the Burner parts are and have shown an image of the Burner in all important angles so please view them carefully. The Brass Burner and container does slide out and inside of the round Brass holder as shown in image. The Font sits slightly off center. The large Red Satin Globe Shade features a horizontal ribbed embossed pattern all over the Shade and has a brass metal cap to finish off the opening and is removable. The chimney that came with this Lamp is not original nor does it fit accurately and I will not be selling with the Lamp as it fell forward while inside the Lamp and knocked the other Mulberry Repousse Glass Shade I had acquired to change out with this Lamp and it knocked the Shade off the Font and broke it. Pretty disheartening as it is a beautiful Shade and currently have it listed on my site in case you are interested in acquiring to change out Shades to have a different look. The Shade shown with the Lamp is the one that came with it when I recently acquired it. Condition: Aged Patina to metal figural base, do not know if all parts are intact with Burner as stated before as I am not an expert in parts for early Oil Lamps. Shade is in Fine condition with NO chips, cracks or breaks, could use a cleaning and have left in it's original state as I did not want to chance breaking this Shade. Will need to ship in two separate boxes to ensure Shade is not damaged so my shipping rate will reflect shipping of two boxes. I will be gone from November 17th through the 20th and tfore will not be able to answer any emails or questions during this time and will not be able to ship any items until the 22nd. Please ask all questions prior to the 17th. Insurance is REQUIRED on all of my items and will be calculated at the end of the auction when I return and will send an Invoice with Insurance calculated into the total.
