This is a superb and quite stunning carved gothic oak panel titled "Inspired" of which: during our research we have been informed it dates from the 19th century and is of english origin. One of two similar. Wonderfully carved in relief in the oak. A one piece carving. Wonderful decorative carving with the seated angel playing the harp. A long billed bird to her left with a lion type creature by her lap. Behind the harp is the develish horned winged figure with the cat like mouth. To the centre of the bird is the text "Inspired" Has an overall size of about 13.25 x 10inches. Max depth of about 1.5inches . Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is excellent and is without any major blemish . All as per pictures. Besides being a very collectable and heavy gothic carved oak panel from the 19th century with the stunning decoration and detailing, would also look fabulous displayed.
