THANK YOU FOR VIEWING THIS AUCTION About me: Living in Florida, especially in the Tampa,St.Petersburg area has given me great opportunities to treasure hunt. I go to estate sales, garage sales, antique malls and auction houses. As with every sunday count on me being at the flea market by 6:30 am. I have done this for over 20 years now. I have hoarded to w I can not hoard no more.Or so my wife says.So in order to keep peace in our household, I am offering for the first time these collector items on ebay. I hope you enjoy bidding on and looking at the things I have collected over the years. Good Luck and Happy Bidding... Up for Auction is: A beautiful 19th century ceramic tile: THOMAS WOOD & CO TEA IMPORTERS. The obverse has a soft pale blue glaze with a romantic scene of a young man playing a violin surrounded by a leaf and vine mottif. The reverse reads:THOMAS WOOD & CO. TEA IMPORTERS BOSTON,MASS.PRIMEROSE TEA.T are some very minor chips around the glazed edge of this early tile(see photos). This in no way takes away from the overall look or value of this piece as they are very old and very minor.Exactly as you would expect to find in a 100+ year old ceramic tile.I mention this to be 100% accurate in my description.T are no repairs, cracks or staining of this 19th century tile.A wonderful example of a 19th century ceramic advertising tile for Thomas Wood & Co.Tea Importers.Tile measures 6 1/8" across x 3/8" thick.****Please see my other auctions for more art, antiques and other items of interest.
