19th Cent German 3D Wood Carving Shadowbox Black Forest

I am delighted to offer this important 19 th century 3 dimensional wood carving. It comes framed in a shadowbox behind glass, as shown. I believe this is a German piece and it depicts an intricate scene of a man sitting at a table and a woman standing beside it. They are drinking wine and it looks to be a hunters cabin with antlers and a gun hanging on the wall. A lot of really fine detail on this one. I hope the pictures are able to capture the depth and magnitude of the relief work. It measures approx. 10 ¾” by 9” and about 2” deep. The carving itself is in Excellent condition and I can find no damage. The black wood frame does show some signs age and wear. Please view all pictures and take advantage of the zoom feature.
