19th Century Boston American Empire Painted Japanned four drawer chest would be a great addition to your furniture collection. The flame crotch mahogany veneer that is used is a deep rich red in color. The chest measures 43 inches in width, 23 inches in depth, 37 inches in height. The chest has nice paint or Japanned decoration on the top of the columns that really has nice detail. The glass pulls I think were added after the fact. The finish or patina on the chest is nice t is some alligatoring or varnish build up priamrily over the Japaneed paintings. The case of the chest is tight. The drawers operate smoothly. The chest does sit on the original casters. Shipping will be included with the sale of this chest in the US. Thank you for viewing and good luck. ****FREE SHIPPING ALL MY AUCTIONS****
