This is a 19th century northern plains or central plains American Indian arrow with a barbed arrow head. It is in excellent condition for its age and measures just over 24 inches long. The back feathers have some damage to them but are present and they are all sinew tied or wraped. The arrow head is also sinew wraped with the arrow head end having a split branch to supply the arrow head. The branch is warped slitly and the back end is V'ed to accomodate a sinew string. I took this down to the Heard Musuem and was told that this most likely is northern plains or into Nebraska area. Great wall hanger or to go into your collection.
