Well, just take a look. ... This is one of the most beautiful floor vases I have seen. I took this for an appraisal yesterday. It took several hours to even find information that could lead us to what we believe are some conclusions on this very old vase. We believe it is 1800's. It is unmarked, yet surely Nippon. It is in grand, I mean grand condition, and so very lovely.. it is hard to describe.
The dealers I took it to said if it were in their shop, they would be asking $2,500-$4,000 for this vase. The Moriage is spectacular. The colors are unbelievable. The subject matter, as well, is highly desirable. This antique Pottery Vase is a dusty Olive green base color, with blush peaches, dusty roses, and blues, with darker greens to shadow. The moriage Beading on the handles is almost seafoam in color. The Butterfly and the Peonies literally jump out at you as they are fairly high relief paste, and are painted just so wonderfully. NO cracks, no chips, very small spot of paint loss to bottom rim, and small beading loss to flower stem in back. Overall small crackling. You will be so pleased with this vase. Measurements are as follows: Height: 15 1/2" Handle to Handle, Approximately 9"
Mouth: 31/2" inside diameter
I think the actual color is closest in picture #6.
