This is a beautiful 19th century San Carlos Apache basket that is in mint condition. It measures 10 1/4 inches round and just under 3 inches high. The basket dates in the 1880s era and the design is interlocking crosses. T are 31 crosses surounding a eye dazzler patern on the bottom of the basket. It could use a cleaning. I have been looking over the basket very carefully and I see about 5 stitches missing. Anything under 8 is considered mint. This basket has a beautiful patina to it from being over 120 years old. It is a 4 rod construction and the rim is in mint condition. This is one of the nicest baskets I have owned and will look beautiful with any 19th century american indian art collection. These old apache baskets are getting real tough to find especialy in this condition. I am selling this basket with no reserve as usal so good luck. I am always happy to combine shipping up to 5 days of end of auction. I have listed 3 differant types of shipping. I suggest useing USPS first class shipping for small light items to save in expence. I will return all money If item is not as described 100% gauranteed with in 3 days of buyer receiving item.I try to pack exstreamly well with lots of bubble wrap and sturdy boxes filled with packing peanuts. I suggest getting insurance in case item is lost or broken after being shipped. I can not be responsible for items being lost, stolen, or broken after item is shipped and will not give refund under these circumstanses. I all of my American Indian arts & crafts and antiques I try to have them authenticated as being as such through reputable dealers and or museums for authentification and any history or provenance. I will not sell any American Indian ceremonial or religious items that conflick with the law or ebays policy nor will I try to sell a reproduction as being authentic American Indian. I try to describe items as best as I can and how I see them in what they represent both in condition and age. I dont use reserves to often because my items sell on their own merit. I have two sites i use rainbow1cat and rainbow2cat. One site i sell high quality and authentic American Indian jewelry that is hand made by Native American Indians using only North American turquoise. Check out my other items !
