we have another authentic museum quality Chinese polearm. Forged steel lance, featuring side hook. Steel collar and diamond shaped lance and side hook have been meticulously forged from one piece of steel. Exquisite hexagonal designs on collar.

Attached to original wooden pole. Blade has been cleaned to show superb lines of workmanship. Over the last ten years I have built an extensive collection of Chinese antique weaponry. This week I am selling much of my collection. You won't find too many of these pieces around. Trust me I have spent countless hours and years finding these.

This type of hooked spear would have been used to pierce armor as the diamond-cross section blade is super strong. The hook would have been used to rip shields, pole weapons, swords, clothing, armor, limbs off-balance on the pull back of the thrust. Also to unseat cavalry from their horses, and knock siege warriors off battlements additionaly.

These types of weapons are still used in the practice arsenal of Shaolin Kung Fu and related styles.

For those who wish to practice with authentic weaponry, this is a majestic tool. A far different feel from the cumbersome combat steel or chrome plated tournament weapons. A weapon worthy of a connoisseur of Shaolin Spearplay. Perfect to practice lance work as well as place on your wall next to your growing collection of original Chinese weapons.

This spear is guaranteed authentic, not related to the distasteful reproductions coming out of modern day Chinese factories. They dont make em like they used to !
