This auction is for an early 19th century English liquor box. This box measures 9.5" tall X 7.5" X 7.5". This box originally had 4 bottles and only 2 are present. One of the lips at the top of one of the bottles is broken. (w the white tape is in the picture) The gilt on the bottles is in very good condition and t are no cracks in either of the 2 bottles. T is some string inlay w the top of the lid meets the bottom which travels all the way around. The hinges are original and stop at a 90 degree angle. The box sits on 1/4" brass spical feet. All four are present. The carrying handles on the side are solid brass and are also original to the piece. With the exception of the two missing bottles this box is in extremely good condition.
