19th Century German Austrian Porcelain Bust KPM Quality Description - A finely sculpted, beautifully executed glossy bright white porcelain bust. The photos make the porcelain look a little grey, but it is definitely bright white porcelain such as you might expect from a fine German manufacturer like Meissen or KPM. Also, the photos don't show the real detail of the piece. The base was left unglazed. Since the markings were not under glaze, they have worn away and it is impossible for me to read them well enough to determine the manufacturer. What little markings can be seen lead me to believe that this piece is probably late 19th or early 20th century, and almost certainly continental European. I don't know who the gentleman is. If you do, please let me know so I can pin down the origin of this piece. Size - About 8 1/4" tall, 5 5/8" across the shoulders, and about 3 1/2" total depth. The base is 2 7/8" wide and a little less than 2 3/4" deep. Estimated 4 pounds packed weight for shipping. Condition - Appears to be absolutely perfect, with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, or repairs. Marks - As you can see, these marks are almost impossible to read. T are some red marks and letters above the black letters "apm. N60". T are some other black letters or numbers that can't be read. It is possible that some of the red lettering reads "Made in", but I can't even be sure of that. CLICK to visit our EBAY STORE As always, SATISFACTION AND AUTHENTICITY ARE ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEED.
