A very good quality German half litre relief moulded stoneware stein, dating to the last quarter of the 19th century. Height 7.5 inches. Condition. There are no chips cracks or restoration to this piece. The handpainted porcelain roundel to the lid is also perfect, and the colours of the hand enamelling are strong and vibrant. The pewter lid doesn't quite fit far enough forward to cover the lip of the stein, but is not damaged or repaired in any way, and could be eased forward. There are no factory marks to the piece and I have shown from all angles. The moulding is very crisp. Any questions please just ask, sold with a low starting price and no reserve.
