RARE 19TH CENTURY HAWAII AKU LURE/HOOK WITH METAL TRADE HOOK - NO RESERVE!With olona cord binding & pearl shell shank, 1 of 2 listedOne of several amazing items we have for auction this week! !This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind old 19th Century Native Hawaiian Aku lure, made from a beautiful polished piece of pearl shell bound to a forged metal trade hook in the style of a Bonito hook with point and snood lashing! These were used in a Moilili fishing village on South Kona Coast and come from a Kona collection. A RARE specimen, and to our knowledge, the first to appear on Ebay! Measurements : 4" length for lure itself, 15.5" length including lure and cord. Provenance : From a private Kona, Hawaii collection. Condition : Condition is as viewed.
