19th Century Heavily Ornate Brass Student Lamp

This is an original 19 th Century, Single Light heavily ornate, Victorian Adjustable Cast Brass Student Oil Lamp. It has a beautiful old white milk glass shade. The lamp was never drilled, but held a light socket and a cord, which is no longer on the lamp. The lamp has the original wick turner, which is signed on its cap: "B.B. & C. Co. New Blaze". The lamp has outstanding cast brass Victorian ornamentation and design. The lamp measures approximately 23 inches high, 21 inches wide and 10 ½ deep. The lamp has a beautiful century old patina, which overall, hides the minor dents, the larger one in a bottom fuel location and photographed for your viewing. The shade holder needs an adjustment to better fit the shade. The base of the shade holder, with its attached base itself, w the wick goes through, needs a better attachment to the lamp. It will probably be detached to better fit the box for delivery. Overall, the lamp is in beautiful condition. The shade is in perfect condition. This very elaborately designed cast brass scarce Victorian student lamp would make a delightful and decorative addition for a collection/display/use in your home!
