19th Century Japanese Champleve and Embossed Bronze Vase Circa 1870. Purchased at auction years ago in Kansas City at an auction conducted by Ferrell's Gallery. This item has had one of it's handles re-soldered into place, but it should be professionally brazed, nonetheless, it was appraised verbally in it's present condition by an Oriental specialist from University Park, Dallas, Texas years ago for $450.00. Many people over the years have destroyed the integrity of vases like this by wiring them electrically to serve as lamps. This is a survivor of that mentality and a true collector's item. I took some extreme close-ups so that you can appreciate the craftsmanship in this item. This vase measures 12 inches in height by 10 inches across the widest portion of the handles approximately. One standard shipping and handling cost for this item will also cover the insurance that is needed to cover the cost of the purchase price of this item. Item will be shipped via UPS Ground. We do not ship outside of the Continental U.S. If you do not live within the lower 48 States, then please do not bid on this item. The Continental U.S. does not include Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, Mexico or Canada or anyw else you can think of.
