19TH CENTURY JAPANESE LACQUER WRITING BOX with INKSTONE

You are bidding on a beautiful antique Japanese Lacquer Writing Box. The box measures approximately 8 3/4" in length by 8 1/2" width by 1 5/8" height. The box has beautiful depiction of an owl in a tree under the moon to the lid and numerous other floral decoration throughout. These are raised decorations as only the finest lacquer artists produced. The box has an ink stone and wooden seal along with a fitted brass ink bottle that also has some inscription as pictured.

The box has a crack to the lid and one of the fitted trays inside has a separation line along the seam. The ink stone has a small piece missing.

This is the most beautiful lacquer writing box I have personally ever had the pleasure of offering for sale so be sure to get your maximum bid in early to add to your collection.
