Up for auction is a lovely Wedgwood Majolica Leaf Plate measuring 8" in diameter. The design is a large leaf on a basketweave background, and is just stunning. The plate has one very small chip on the stem of the leaf, and no cracks, or repairs of any kind. Wedgwood manufactured Majolica only from 1860 - 1910, and the back of the plate has the Wedgwood impression, along with the letters GOV. The GOV is a date code, which indicates the plate was made in 1867. This plate was acquired through a reputable auction house, and is guaranteed to be authentic.
