MAGNIFICENT 19TH CENTURY SHAKER COVERED PAIL DESCRIPTION: Offered tonight at NO RESERVE is a 19TH CENTURY SHAKER COVERED PAIL . Measuring approximately 6 1/2" top diameter , and 7 1/2" tall, it is an uncommon-even rare small size. Having tight staves and fingered bands commonly attributed to the Shakers, the covered pail has a highly desirable and often sought after form. The wonderful red paint has been recently added by Jason Grant. Those of you who are familiar with his work are aware of his realistic aging and distressting techniques that make the surface and patina of his paint appear authentic.
