This style of late 19th Century sponge ware plate with additional hand painted decoration has the most wonderful decorative appeal. Great bright colours bold decoration in a folk art tradition. They are traditionally made in Scotland by factories like Bell's of Glasgow or the Links pottery in Kirkcaldy. date Late 19th Century. Printed mark Guaranteed Leadless Glaze. Size 10 1/2 inches; 26.5 cm. Condition good No chips or cracks nor restoration. just used.
